Metropia Gives Back to Keep Toronto Healthy

As Metropia continues to grow communities throughout Toronto, we are also committed to ensuring the continued health and safety of its residents. That is why we have taken such a considerable interest in supporting Mount Sinai Hospital in their redesign and expansion of the Schwartz/Reisman Emergency Centre.

The Schwartz/Reisman Emergency Centre was built over 40 years ago and designed to accommodate 50% fewer than the 60,000 patients it now treats annually. As Toronto continues to expand and develop, the demands placed on The Schwartz/Reisman Emergency Centre will grow as well. This is why the aim is to double the Centre’s size to 24,000 square feet in order to continue to offer cutting-edge, life-saving emergency care.

Fostering Healthy Growth

As partners in the continued development of Toronto’s communities, we have taken on the responsibility of helping ensure that that its residents both present and future have access to the essential health care services offered by Mount Sinai Hospital. To that end, Metropia has taken an active role in raising funds toward the expansion of the Schwartz/Reisman Emergency Centre, with our own Howard Sokolowski O.Ont taking on the role of Chair of the Fundraising Board.

To date, there have been over $13M in donations raised toward the expansion of this essential neighbourhood amenity, but it doesn’t stop there. In only a few short weeks, members of Toronto’s development and building communities will gather in a show of solidarity to further support the redesign and expansion of the Schwartz/Reisman Emergency Centre.

It’s a matter of giving back and ensuring the continued health and safety of this great city and its residents.

If you would like to contribute toward the redesign and expansion of the Schwartz/Reisman Emergency Centre, please join with other community builders on Wednesday, September 18, 2019, from 6 to 8 for an exceptional event in support of this great cause.
